Award Success for The Ron Harrod Foundation

Harrod Sport are delighted to announce that the Ron Harrod Foundation won the 'Outstanding Sporting Achievement of the Year' award at the Stars of Suffolk Awards last night.

Our Office Manager Tim represented Harrod Sport at the awards ceremony which took place at Greshams Ipswich: "It was a great honour to represent the company, knowing we were up for an award for the Ron Harrod Foundation. The venue at Greshams of Ipswich was set up for a real Oscar like evening. When the nominations were read out, I suddenly realised I was on the table as my fellow nominees – awkward! Really chuffed & surprised when RHF was called out as the winner…especially the added bonus of a £250 donation to our funds. Stars of Suffolk is a brilliant event, chance to see the very best in ordinary people, doing extra ordinary things."

The Ron Harrod Foundation was set up by Harrod Sport in 2018 to provide funding for under-25s sportsmen and women in Norfolk and Suffolk to help them continue to compete in their chosen sport. In 2019, we awarded £5,000 of funding to three outstanding young athletes, and still help fund the winners from 2018 too.

The Stars of Suffolk organisation also kindly donated £250 to us for the RHF, which will be used to help fund local sporting talent.
