All Harrod 9v9 goal posts are independently certified and apply to the required safety standards (BS EN 748 or BS 8462).

Types of 9v9 posts

Harrod offer goals in a variety of materials including Aluminium, Steel and PVC.

All 9v9 football goal posts adhere to standard dimensions: 4.88m x 2.13m.

Freestanding

Harrod's most popular freestanding posts are suitable for clubs and schools to use on all surfaces and are available in steel, aluminium and PVC.

Manufactured from 68mm diameter heavy duty white PVC, the lightweight, freestanding PVC Polygoal comes complete with 2.5mm net and carry bag, making setting up and dismantling even easier. The sections are connected by PVC button clips to ensure stability.

Folding

Ideal for playing surfaces used for multiple sports, fence folding goal posts feature hinged supports so the posts can fold up flush against a fence when not in use, allowing space and freedom for other sports.

Socketed

Socketed steel goals are ideal for schools and junior club use. Steel posts are heavy duty, hard wearing and ideal for unsupervised areas.

Self Weighted

Harrod were the sole suppliers of 3G Weighted Portagoals and Nets to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Self Weighted goals offer a great level of freedom as Harrod's Hi-Raise wheels or weighted rollers offer increased maneuverability on artificial surfaces..

Pitch dimensions

The Football Association recommend the following pitch dimensions for 9v9 pitches:

• Length: 80 yards
• Width: 50 yards
• Penalty box length: 32 yards
• Penalty box width: 13 yards
• Penalty spot : 9 yards from goal

Where there is limited space, a 9v9 pitch can be marked out on a full sized-pitch with revised dimensions:

9v9 pitch sharing halfway line:

• Length: 74 yards
• Width: 50 yards
• Penalty box length: 32 yards
• Penalty box width: 13 yards
• Penalty spot : 8 yards from goal

9v9 pitch in each half of a full-sized pitch:

• Length: 70 yards
• Width: 46 yards
• Penalty box length: 32 yards
• Penalty box width: 13 yards
• Penalty spot : 8 yards from goal

If the 9v9 markings are on a full-sized pitch, the FA recommend using blue lines.

Maintenance

If properly maintained, 9v9 goal posts can last for many years, but general wear and tear could reduce the life of your goal.

To protect against this, regular maintenance is crucial. This includes regular checks of fixtures and fittings and the use of maintenance equipment, such as paint or spray, when required.
